Hyundai S-6013.LF is recommended for welding carbon structural and shipbuilding steels. Welding in all spatial positions except vertical down, using direct current with reverse polarity and alternating current from power sources with an open circuit voltage of (50±5)V. Coating type – rutile. A universal electrode that provides high weld properties. It ignites easily, including re-ignition. Hyundai S-6013.LF is ideal for tacks, short, and root welds. The welding process features reduced heat input, making the electrode attractive for filling wide gaps, especially during assembly. It is widely used for welding sheets with galvanic coating. It is not sensitive to rust and surface contamination.
Usage characteristics:
S-6013.LF is a silicon-manganese type of electrode with minimal fume generation;
The fume generation is 20% less than that of standard silicon-manganese electrodes, with ease of use in all welding positions;
S-6013.LF is suitable for welding lightweight structural steel due to its stable arc, surface penetration, and smooth weld bead.
Application recommendations:
1. Dry the electrodes before welding at a temperature of 70-100°C for 30-60 minutes.
2. Use welding current that does not exceed the recommended values.
