Description

The vacuum pump is a multifunctional device used to diagnose systemsóin cars and technology thatóre based on pressure or vacuum. It is equipped with accessories for use in almost any engine or system.

The YT-0674 pump is equipped with a switch thatóry, depending on the position, allows you to create vacuum or pressure.

Moving the switch toward the outlet of the pump will produce a vacuum when pumping. Moving the switch towards the handle will result in pressure being generated during pumping.

Measuring range: -1 to 3 bar

The following systems and systems, among others, can be diagnosed using the pump: Computerized engine control devices: - barometric pressure sensor (BARO) - PCV system - exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) - thick film pressure sensors (MAP) Ignition control devices: - vacuum ignition advance - retarding valve: SDV, RCV Braking system: - conventional brakes - ABS brakes - air brakes - brake lines - brake servo Other systems: - air conditioning - cruise control - fuel tank and fuel system - vacuum door closing system Diagnostics of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system The EGR system valve is an example of a vacuum-operated valve. In the absence of vacuum, the valve is closed and exhaust gases do not escape from the valve. When vacuum is applied to the valve, it is opened, allowing exhaust gas recirculation Thick film pressure sensor (MAP) diagnostics - Assemble the pump and reservoir system as for bleeding the brake calipers, then connect to the vacuum connection of the sensor - Press the pump lever until the pointer shows -0.5 bar. Finish pumping and observe the pointer, it should be stationary. If the pointer moves, it means the MAP sensor is defective - During operation, the MAP sensor sends feedback signals to the control computer. The signal has a frequency between 85 Hz and 160 Hz, depending on the vacuum level. A frequency meter is required to measure the frequency, and should be connected according to the sensor and meter instructions Bleeding the brake calipers- Ensure that the brake system expansion tank is filled with fluid to the nominal volume - Perform bleeding according to the following order: - brake master cylinder, if equipped with a bleeder valve - Brake calipers in order from the one closest to the master cylinder to the one furthest away - Connect the short hose to the connection located at the bottom of the pump reservoir cover - Close the pump reservoir with the cover - Connect the long flexible hoses to the connections on the cover. Connect the end of one of the long hoses to the pump and the other to the bleeder valve (calamity) of the brake caliper. If necessary, use an adapter - Press the pump lever 10 - 15 times to create a vacuum in the pump reservoir - Unscrew the bleeder valve by 1/4 - 1/2 turn, so that the pump reservoir fills with fluid to a height of about 5 cm. Tighten the vent valve - Disconnect the pump line from the vent valve, the terminal bleeding procedure is completed - Before repeating the bleeding procedure at the next caliper, empty the pump reservoir of brake fluid and refill the brake fluid level in the brake system to the nominal level.
