The accuracy of the YT-730896 meter for this range is: ±(0.8% + 10), resolution 0.01 V. Measurement error calculation formula: (measurement result x 0.8%) + 10 x resolution. Calculations: (235 x 0.8%) + 10 x 0.01 = 1.88 + 0.1 = 1.98 V. The actual result considering the measurement error for a reading of 235 V = 235 ± 1.98 V.

The result considering the measurement error for a reading of DC voltage: 12 V = 12 ± 0.011 V. The result considering the measurement error for a reading of AC current: 8 A = 8 ± 0.17 A. A table with resolution and accuracy for this measurement can be found in the user manual.

Functions:
  • TRUE RMS - the meter displays the true effective value of AC voltage/current; unlike averaging meters, devices with TRUE RMS show the correct value not only for sinusoidal signals but also for distorted sinusoidal signals.
  • NCV - non-contact detection of AC voltage using induction; the meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated wire using the NCV sensor on the front panel of the device.
  • AUTO - automatic range setting; activated by default.
  • RANGE - manual range adjustment, useful when checking many identical components.
  • REL - function to zero the display and take the visible value as the reference level.
  • FUNC - change measurement mode, for example, from AC voltage measurement to DC.
  • MAX/MIN - save the maximum or minimum value from the current measurement.
  • PEAK - peak value for AC current and voltage measurements.
  • HOLD - hold the current measured value on the display.
