Description
Epoxy putty is a two-component super glue based on epoxy resin, designed for quick repairs and long-lasting effects. It fills holes, scratches, cracks, cavities, and dents. It is easily mixed by hand and takes any shape. It is intended for repairing surfaces made of any metals and alloys (steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, magnesium, tin, lead, etc.) and any plastic. It can be used to eliminate leaks in fuel tanks, radiators, oil tanks, structures, pipes, etc. It can be applied underwater. It retains its properties up to 260 °C.
Functions:
- Excellent chemical and mechanical resistance;
- Quickly hardens in any conditions, even underwater;
- Durable;
- After final curing, any machining with chip removal (drilling, cutting, threading, grinding, etc.) is possible, followed by painting or varnishing;
- does not contain asbestos and is an electrical insulator;
- can be used for glass, ceramics, concrete, wood, etc.
Application: Thoroughly clean the surface from old paints and other coatings, dirt, grease, and oil deposits. Remove grease. Drain. For better adhesion, the surface can be roughened with sandpaper. The putty can be applied at any temperature and humidity, but the optimal temperature is from +10 °C to +30 °C and humidity 50-60%. Squeeze from the tube and cut the required amount. Knead by hand until a homogeneous warm mass is obtained. Smooth and remove excess liquid with a spatula. Hardening begins after 15 minutes. Complete curing occurs within 1 hour. When applying underwater or on an oiled surface, the mixture should be pressed with a spatula until it starts to set.
