Classic MIG/MAG welding. The main purpose of the Pirotec MIG/MMA 20-160A universal inverter is high-performance MIG/MAG welding in a gas protective environment. This allows you to weld even aluminum products, provided you have sufficient welding experience. In MIG/MAG mode, high welding speeds are achieved, and the weld is formed in a protective environment, which eliminates oxidation, slag formation, and other defects. Semi-automatic welding ensures easy and confident arc ignition even when working outdoors, which is quite important.
Welding with flux-cored wire. For work in open areas, the Pirotec MIG/MMA 20-160A inverter supports semi-automatic welding with flux-cored wire without the use of protective gas. As a result, you can weld black metals, steels, and alloys based on them in hard-to-reach places or at heights. Flux-cored welding is carried out with reverse polarity DC+, removing all contaminants and forming a high-quality fast-freezing weld without defects.
Reliable feeding drive. To feed the filler wire into the welding zone, a built-in roller drive is used, which supports operation with cassettes weighing up to 5 kg and a diameter of 0.6 to 0.8 mm. The small diameter of the filler material and excellent technical parameters make the inverter indispensable for auto repair shops when performing bodywork. The roller feeds the filler material at a strictly defined speed, which can be adjusted over a wide range from 1.5 to 14 m/min. The Pirotec MIG/MMA 20-160A inverter features a wire run function for quick and safe loading of a new cassette. Additionally, at the end of the welding cycle, the wire burn-back mode is activated, which helps avoid the sticking of filler material in the melt, reduces material waste, and improves welding quality.
Additional MMA mode. When connecting the electrode holder to the Pirotec MIG/MMA 20-160A inverter and switching the toggle to the MMA position, you gain the ability to perform welding with coated electrodes. The maximum current in MMA mode reaches 160 Amperes, allowing the use of electrodes with a diameter of 1.6 to 4.0 mm for welding products made of black metals and alloys based on them. The versatility of the inverter allows you to save your financial investments by using one device instead of two.
Stable arc at low voltage
The inverter device demonstrates a stable clean arc even at a network voltage of 160 Volts. This feature allows you to work with the device in old networks or connect to standalone generators that are not equipped with an inverter converter.
